Role:  Geospatial Database Analyst

Role Summary: Responsible for day-to-day implementation of databases for clients. The role is responsible for assessments and recommendations, database analysis, data modeling, troubleshooting, database administration and configuration, documentation, end user support.         

Candidates must be eligible for secret security clearance and proof of U.S. Citizenship is required.

Essential Functions:
·         Performs database analysis, design and construction activities on geospatial and relational databases
·         Conducts QA/QC on GIS databases to ensure compliance with standards and assesses data and database requirements
·         Analyze user needs to determine functional and cross-functional requirements by performing database analysis and design. 
·         Produces documentation in support of database development
·         Occasional on-call support required

·         Ability to implement and anlayze geospatial and relational databases in an enterprise environment

·         In depth knowledge of GIS data development, editing and quality control procedures
·         Self-motivated, pro-active, and ability to multi-task
·         Ability to plan, organize and manage project schedules, tasks, deliverables, and staff
 
Experience Required:
·         Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography/GIS, Science, Engineering or related field*
·         1+ years designing and analyzing geodatabases**
·         Experience with database relationship analysis, database performance analysis, and table, field,
and relationship design
·         Experience with database QA/QC
·         Experience with documentation

** Additional education can be substituted for years of experience
     
Ideal (in addition to required experience):
·         3+ years experience with ArcGIS Server SDE
·         1+ year enterprise geodatabase implementation a experience 
·         Working knowledge of DoD and IGI&S programs and technology
·         SQL scripting experience
·         Knowledge of Federal data standards including FGDC and SDSFIE

 Work Environment:
·         San Diego County, CA; MCB Camp Pendleton
·         Travel up to 10% of the time
